Files Go App Renamed to 'Files by Google' - Google has announced that its 'Files Go'Android app is being re-branded to 'Files by Google'. The company further claimed that in less than a year since its launch, the app has over 30 million monthly users around the world.
The app also gets a new, updated UI that keeps the older look and feel for the most part, but is a bit cleaner and more streamlined.
Released back in December 2017, Files Go(now Files by Google) is a free Android app that was designed to help users clean out the clutter on Android Go devices with limited built-in storage.
The app, however, is apparently also being used on a large number of mainstream Android handsets with plenty of storage, says Google.
