A new study conducted by researchers from Plymouth University's Cognition Institute suggests that playing Tetris for three minutes could cut down cravings for cigarettes and food by about a quarter, helping people easily quite smoking or going on a diet.According to a report from the Independent on the matter, Professor Jackie Andrade, who conducted the research with Jon May and Jessica Skorka-Brown, was quoted saying:
"Feeling in control is an important part of saying motivated, and playing Tetris can potentially help the individual to stay in control when cravings strike".
